EquaTerra, a multi-national outsourcing and insourcing advisory firm, announced that Tim Palmer, its European HR Practice Lead, was named “Sourcing Advisor of the Year 2006” at the HR Outsourcing Association’s (HROA) second annual awards gala, held at the New York Hilton last week. EquaTerra’s Mark Hodges won this same award at the 2005 awards banquet. Two EquaTerra clients – DuPont and NiSource – also won awards at the 2006 ceremony.
Nominees in all 12 awards categories were selected by independent panels of judges from buy-side, sell-side and consulting organizations. The winners in each awards category were then chosen by a third independent panel.
When announcing Tim Palmer as “Sourcing Advisor of the Year 2006,” Master of Ceremonies Richard Crespin, the HROA’s Executive Director said, “Tim has worked tirelessly to help establish a healthy and balanced HRO industry in Europe. In the past year, perhaps Tim’s single largest achievement has been bringing Unilever safely to the HRO market.”
Crespin continued, “Tim’s commitment to HRO in Europe has helped extend the practice and professionalization of HRO, while keeping a realistic perspective on the limits and potential of the industry. In many ways, Tim has been on the very vanguard of helping companies see how to create culturally appropriate and relevant HRO solutions. For his bold insight, depth of knowledge, tenacity, determination, leadership, and skillful guidance, Tim Palmer has won the distinction of HRO Sourcing Advisor of the Year.”
DuPont’s Jim Borel was named HROA Buyer Executive of the Year 2006, and NiSource and IBM won the HROA Mid-Market Customer Relationship of the Year 2006 award. Both DuPont and NiSource are EquaTerra clients.
