Ceridian Centrefile was named "Employer of the Year" at The National Business Awards South East Regional Finals, announced on Thursday 8th July. Ceridian Centrefile is now one of ten organisations shortlisted for the national Awards programme, which will take place this autumn. The prestigious award was presented to Bruce Thew, President Ceridian International, at a Gala Ceremony in London attended by more than 250 business leaders and special guests.

Hundreds of companies entered the South East regional programme of The National Business Awards, sponsored by Orange. Acknowledged by The Chancellor of the Exchequer as "the UK's business Oscars", the Awards recognise and reward excellence, innovation and success.

Bruce Thew says, "We are extremely proud to have won this award. This is a wonderful achievement for us as a company. Our people are our most important asset so it is great to be recognised as an employer of choice in the South East."

Adrian Tripp, Chief Executive of the Awards comments, "The quality of entries in the 2004 Regional Finals of The National Business Awards has been outstanding. The numbers of participants has continued to grow and we have seen a true entrepreneurial spirit among all of the finalists. Clearly, the business community has embraced recognition of success as a means of defining themselves to their key audiences. The businesses who are the finalists in the South East region are shining examples of success."

Angela Hall, Director of Small Business, Orange says, "The finalists in the South East region of the National Business Awards have shown strong innovation and the determination to succeed. The pressures on business continue to be unrelenting so it is fitting to pause to recognise and celebrate success. The awards are an important way for companies of all sizes and industry sectors to illustrate that they have a world-class business. Every one of the finalists - winner or not - is an inspiration and we congratulate them all.
