Texas grants Convergys tentative award for Employee Care services

Convergys has received a tentative award from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), to provide human resources and payroll services to 46,000 state agency employees.

Based on the state's estimate of its costs, Convergys' bid for the contract will save the state $63 million over the next five years.

"We're very pleased to have the opportunity to partner with the State of
Texas," said Karen Bowman, president of Employee Care. "This announcement represents a further penetration of the government outsourcing market and we are looking forward to finalizing a contract with HHSC."
