Convergys hires VP for human resources outsourcing unit

Convergys Corp. has named Paul Turner as vice president of Employee Care for its Europe, Middle East and Africa division.

Turner, who will be based in the United Kingdom, joins the company from a 14-year career in human resources management with Lloyds TSB. Most recently he served as group human resources business director for the financial services firm. He also has held positions with British Telecom and Plessey Telecommunications.

Turner also serves as vice president of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, a professional institute with more than 100,000 members in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Cincinnati-based Convergys is a provider of outsourced billing, human resources and customer care services.
