2013 HROA Awards
For nine years, the HROA Awards have been the highlight of the year and an aspiration for those in the HRO industry in Europe, North America, Asia Pacific, and globally.
Each year the HROA selects a theme and the awards criteria revolve around that theme.
BE TRANSFORMED: Recognizing Marked Achievements in the Advancement of HRO
Nominations are submitted for individuals and organizations who have garnered exceptional results through their efforts within their organizations and/or the HRO industry over the past year. Nominations closed April 1 for the Trustee, APAC and Northa America Awards and members cast their votes to select the winners -- these winners were announced at the Awards Gala on May 2nd.

The HROA convenes an Awards Committee to manage a transparent and unbiased process. The Committee is responsible for reviewing and approving the criteria for each award prior to its publication and for qualifying all nominees. This involves verifying the completeness of all nominations (e.g., testimonials, logos [optional], photos) and the eligibility of all nominees (e.g., do they meet the award criteria?).
Nominations are open to all new contracts, relationships, and/or projects with start dates in 2012 as well as any existing contracts, relationships, and/or projects with start dates prior to 2012. Therefore, for the awards presented in 2013, the award year would be January 1 to December 31, 2012. Members and non-members are allowed to submit nominations.
Nominations & Voting
The awards categories are posted to the HROA website and the nomination process is kicked-off with a communication to all HROA members. Anyone may submit a nomination for consideration. Nominations should include the following:
Completion of online nomination form found at http://www.hroa.org/content/hroa-award-nomination-form with:
- A 150 word summary followed by 500-750 word responses addressing each criterion;
- A high resolution picture (for individual nominees); and
- The nominee’s company logo (optional).
Nominations should emphasize excellence in service delivery and innovation in alignment with the award year theme – Be Transformed: Recognizing Marked Achievements in the Advancement of HRO – by demonstrating compelling, measurable outcomes. Nominations are open for at least eight weeks and upon close of the nominations process, all nominations are reviewed by the Awards Committee to ensure at least two qualifying nominees exist in each category. If there are less than two nominees in a regional category then the regional award nominees will be considered for the Trustee Awards Presented at the annual HROA Gala (held in conjunction with HRO Today Forum North America).
Once nominations are approved by the Awards Committee, the nominations are published on the HROA website. All HROA members are eligible to cast a vote.
Global members vote for Trustee Awards, NA Awards, APAC Awards, and EMEA Awards
- NA members vote for Trustee Awards and NA Awards
- APAC members vote for Trustee Awards and APAC Awards
- EMEA members vote for Trustee Awards and EMEA Awards
After all the individual votes are cast, only the majority vote from each member company in each category will be counted as one vote for that nominee. Final award winners are selected by the total number of votes received from each member company.
Information on Award submissions and Award Voting will be shared via email, newsletter, Twitter (@HROA), and LinkedIn.
